Two mystery deaths onboard MAERSK ALABAMA

Two maritime security employees were found dead on the container vessel MAERSK ALABAMA on February 18.

The security officers were discovered in one of the vessel’s cabins, when the vessel was docked in Port Victoria, Seychells. The circumstances that led to the horrible accident are unknown and the mysterious deaths of both men remain under investigation.

It was stated, two victims were working as security contractors employed by the Trident Group and had joined the MAERSK ALABAMA on 29th of January.

One should mention, that the MAERSK ALABAMA is a rather famous vessel in relation to the pirate attacks. It was hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009. Later in 2013 this event was fictionalized in the movie „Captain Phillips".
