G6 Alliance Inaugurates its Transpacific Central China Services CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4

The G6 alliance members inaugurate their new Transpacific Central China services CC1, CC2, CC3 and CC4 this week. The CC1 service will be operated by Hyundai Merchant Marine and it will be inaugurated on 14th May with the vessel HYUNDAI BUSAN from Shanghai. The service will deploy a total of 6 vessels on weekly frequency and a 42 day-rotation. It will have an average weekly service capacity of 6,650 TEU and the other G6 members take slots on the service.

CC2 will be jointly operated by OOCL and APL from 13th May. It will be inaugurated by the vessel HYUNDAI NEW YORK (which phases out on 15th June) from Ningbo. The service will run on a weekly frequency and a 35 day-rotation deploying 5 vessels. It will have an average weekly service capacity of 5,800 TEU and the other G6 members take slots on the service.

APL will operate the CC3 service, which will be inaugurated on 17th May with the vessel APL KOREA from Qingdao. The service will deploy 6 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 42 day-rotation. It will have an average weekly service capacity of 5,110 TEU and the other G6 members will be slotting on the service.

APL will also be a joint operator on the CC4 service together with NYK. The service will be inaugu- rated by the vessel NYK TRITON on 17th May from Shanghai. It will deploy 5 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 35 day-rotation. The other G6 members will take slots on this service, which will have an average weekly service capacity of 6,170 TEU.

CC1: Shanghai - Kwangyang - Busan - Los Angeles - Oakland - Busan - Kwangyang – Shanghai CC2: Ningbo - Shanghai - Los Angeles – Ningbo

CC3: Qingdao - Tianjin - Busan - Yokohama - Los Angeles - Oakland - Yokohama - Busan – Qingdao

CC4: Shanghai - Ningbo - Los Angeles - Oakland – Shanghai
