​G6 Alliance Inaugurates its North Pacific Services

The G6 alliance inaugurates yet another group of services. The “new” North Pacific services NP1, NP2 and NP3 are all inaugurated this week. The North Pacific Service 1 was inaugurated yesterday, 13th May, by the vessel OOCL LUXEMBOURG from Singapore. Zim and OOCL are joint operators of the service, which deploys a total of 7 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 49 day-rotation. The other G6 members take slots on the service that has an average weekly service capacity of 8,655 TEU.

The vessel HYUNDAI COURAGE executes the first sailing of the NP2 service on 17th May from Hong Kong. The operator of the service is Hyundai Merchant Marine who deploys 6 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 42 day-rotation. It has an average service capacity of 8,900 TEU per week and the other G6 members as well as Zim (NP2) take slots on the service.

The NP3 service was inaugurated on 12th May by the vessel VIENNA EXPRESS from Qingdao. The service deploys 6 vessels on a weekly frequency and is operated by Hapag Lloyd. Zim (NP3) and the G6 alliance members take slots on the service, which has an average weekly service capacity of 8,750 TEU.

NP1: Singapore - Laem Chabang - Dachan Bay (Shenzhen) - Hong Kong - Yantian (Shenzhen) - Vancouver (Can) - Tacoma - Seattle - Busan - Kaohsiung – Singapore

NP2: Hong Kong - Yantian (Shenzhen) - Kaohsiung - Shanghai - Busan - Tacoma - Seattle - Van- couver (Can) - Yokohama - Busan - Kwangyang - Hong Kong

NP3: Qingdao - Ningbo - Shanghai - Busan - Vancouver (Can) - Tacoma - Vancouver (Can) - To- kyo - Nagoya - Kobe - Qingdao

The Transpacific PA1 and PA2 services as well as the Transatlantic AX1 and AX2 services were also successfully inaugurated last week and on 12th May while the Transpacific Central China Services CC1, CC2, CC3 and CC4 will be inaugurated today, 14th May, and this week.
