​G6 Alliance Inaugurates its Final New Transatlantic Service AX3

Today, 16th May, the G6 alliance is inaugurating its final new transatlantic service of the series. The transatlantic service AX3 is operated by Hapag Lloyd and deploys 5 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 35 day-rotation. It has an average weekly service capacity of 3,240 TEU and all other G6 members take slots on the service. CSAV will also become a slot partner on the service as of 12th June, branding the service SAMEX SLING2. CSAV has recently announced its merger with Hapag Lloyd (see news: Hapag-Lloyd and CSAV merge together creating the 4 th largest container operator)

AX3: Antwerp - Bremerhaven - Southampton - Charleston - Port Everglades - Houston - Savannah - Norfolk – Antwerp
