CMA CGM Takes Slots on Maersk’s Far East – West Coast South America – South Africa Service

CMA CGM takes slots on Maersk’s Far East – West Coast South America – South Africa service with immediate effect. The service was recently created by merging Maersk’s Far East – South America AC3 and its Far East South Africa SAFARI service. CMA CGM was a joint operator on the SAFARI service and branded it SHAKA 2. The French carrier now recycles the name and brands this Far East – WCSA – South Africa service SHAKA 2.

The service deploys a total of 21 vessels on a weekly frequency and a 147 day-rotation. It has an average weekly service capacity of 7,400 TEU and it will be the first service for CMA CGM to directly connect the West Coast of South America with South Africa.

Far East – WCSA – SA: Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian (Shenzhen) – Tanjung Pelepas – Port Louis – Durban – Port Elizabeth – Singapore – Kaohsiung – Nansha – Hong Kong – Yantian (Shenzhen) – Kwangyang – Yokohama – Manzanillo (Mex) – Lazaro Cardenas – Balboa – Buenaventura – Callao – San Antonio – San Vicente – Callao – Buenaventura – Balboa – Lazaro Cardenas – Vostochny – Busan
