Cruise liner Ocean Star Pacific grounded in her last voyage

Cruise liner Ocean Star Pacific ran aground in General Santos City area, southern Mindanao, Philippines, on Dec 12 after she ran out of fuel. Actually, vessel was trying to reach General Santos City for bunkering, but didn’t make it. Vessel is reported as being “on the cruise, which started in Mexico, and was bound for Singapore”. Some media mention Singapore, some India. According to vessel’s AIS, she was bound for India. But it wasn’t a cruise. Most probably, it’s her last voyage to recycling site in Alang.
Cruise liner Ocean Star Pacific, IMO 7027411, gt 23149, built 1971, flag Panama according to media (S-Kitts according to AIS and Equasis), CORPORACION DE CRUCEROS (according to AIS and Equasis), capacity 1231 passengers.
On 15 April 2011 the Ocean Star Pacific was disabled at Huatulco, Mexico, due to a fire in the engine room. On July 26, 2011 suffered another breakdown. Vessel was in a lay up since 2012. Some databases report her broken up, some as to be broken up, some define her status as laid up.
