General cargo vessel BBS SKY and mega boxship HONG KONG EXPRESS reportedly collided, or contacted, in North Sea early in the morning Oct 29, around 0200 UTC, some 10 nm north of Hollum, Ameland island, West Frisian Islands, Netherlands. Both vessels were proceeding in the same northeastern direction, most probably contacted each other when one was overtaking another. Both vessels seemingly didn’t suffer serious damages, continuing their voyages, though BBS SKY changed course and as of 0500 UTC was heading north, being en route from Figueira da Foz Portugal to Szczecin Poland. HONG KONG EXPRESS is en route from Rotterdam to Hamburg.
