Mega container ship MSC FABIOLA hard aground in Suez Canal: UPDATE

Vessel was refloated late at night Apr 29 or early in the morning Apr 30, by joint efforts of 6 tugs, and towed to outer anchorage Suez, Gulf of Suez. As of 1800 UTC May 1, vessel is in the same position, anchored on Suez road. Grounding was caused by generators malfunction, leading to a blackout, and steering failure.

Mega container ship MSC FABIOLA ran aground in southern part of Suez Canal below Ahmed H Tunnel, either late at night Apr 28 or early in the morning Apr 29, while proceeding in southern direction, en route from Malta to Oman. Vessel is hampering traffic, as of 1430 UTC Apr 29 a lot of tugs surround vessel and approaches. It looks like MSC FABIOLA is hard aground.
