Two freighters collided at Yeysk Port, Russia

General cargo vessel GALISA struck docked general cargo vessel VOLGO-BALT 236 on Dec 30 at Yeysk port, Russia, Azov sea, while mooring alongside VOLGO-BALT 236. GALISA suffered bow dent above waterline with 150 millimeter deflection. VOLGO-BALT 236 was breached portside in middle section area 150x25 centimeter above waterline, bent bulwark and broken fender bar. GALISA is loaded with 2817 tons of linseed, VOLGO-BALT 236 is loaded with 2901 tons of offal. As of 1530 UTC Dec 31, both vessels were still at Yeysk Port, investigation under way. No leak reported.
