Danish crew ship on fire, disabled, North sea
Fire erupted in engine room of crew farm trimaran WORLD CALIMA at around 0800 LT Nov 15, north of Heligoland, Germany, North sea. SAR ship HERMANN MARWEDE (IMO 9282601) was dispatched to assist troubled boat with 8 wind farm technicians and 5 crew on board. Crew took fire under control by sealing engine room and activating fire suppressing system. 8 technicians were transferred on board of HERMANN MARWEDE, while crew remained on board. WORLD CALIMA was taken on tow to be towed to Heligoland, as of 1430 UTC Nov 15 caravan was approaching Heligoland.
