Cargo ship grounded, breached, somehow refloated and towed to safety
General cargo ship OPTIMAR with 1300 tons of cargo on board ran aground shortly after 0400 UTC Dec 23 southwest of Kristiansund, Norway, probably drifted no rocks after being disabled in adverse weather. 7 crew were evacuated, the ship either was towed off rocks by lifeboat, or refloated by itself, and was taken on tow by lifeboat, with one lifeboat crew boarding OPTIMAR to take in towline. Lifeboat and tug towed OPTIMAR to Teistholmen, Kristiansund, where she was berthed at around 1300 UTC. Reportedly OPTIMAR suffered several meters hull gash and holed bottom.
