Freighter disabled in English Canal Update towed to safety

Dec 31 Update: In the evening Dec 30 KALVOE was berthed at Cherbourg for repairs. According to MRCC Jobourg, KALVOE reported engine trouble at 0410 LT, at 0830 the ship started moving, but an hour later she was disabled again, and. ABEILLE LIBERTE was contracted for salvage.
Dec 30 1300 UTC: KALVOE was taken under tow by SAR tug ABEILLE LIBERTE, heading for Cherbourg.
Dec 30 0900 UTC: General cargo ship KALVOE was disabled and started to drift at around 1900 UTC Dec 29 in English Canal north of Guernsey. French SAR tug ABEILLE LIBERTE at 0900 UTC Dec 30 was approaching KALVOE, most probably to render assistance. KALVOE is en route from Spain to Netherlands.
