Russian bulk carrier aground, UK UPDATE refloated

UPDATE refloated: Vessel was refloated at around 1400 UTC and taken to anchorage area, at 1430 UTC she was slowly moving, or towed, in anchorage area.

Bulk carrier KUZMA MININ drifted aground on Swanpool Beach, Falmouth, Cornwall, southwest England, at 0540 UTC Dec 18, after anchor dragged, in stormy weather conditions. Vessel is in ballast, arrived from Netherlands, she developed a slight portside list of some 5 degrees. Crew remain on board. As of 1215 UTC KUZMA MININ was still aground with some 6 tugs, SAR, pilot and work boats at her side. Reportedly, refloating attempts are to take place after 1300 UTC with coming high tide. No damages reported so far.
