Master medevac, Aegean sea

General cargo ship VECTIS PROGRESS interrupted her voyage from Isdemir Turkey to Barcelona Spain on Jan 29, to medevac Captain, whose health required immediate hospitalization. The ship turned to Crete’s Chania, 49-year old Master of VECTIS PROGRESS was transferred to patrol boat, and then transported to Chania hospital. The ship anchored at Chania anchorage, waiting either for Master’s return, or replacement Master. As of 1300 UTC Jan 30, the ship was still at anchor.
