Fuel spill at Staten Island from container ship

US Coast Guard reported fuel leak from container ship berthed at Global Marine New York Container Terminal in Staten Island, in the Arthur Kill waterway near the Goethals Bridge, in the afternoon Mar 28. An amount of spilled fuel and the cause of spill yet unknown, containment boom has been placed around the vessel and multiple oil spill response vessels deployed. USCG didn’t identify the ship. There’s only one container ship currently berthed in abovementioned position, it’s container ship DUBLIN EXPRESS, berthed there at around 1200 LT Mar 28, on arrival from Fort Lauderdale. As of 0700 UTC Mar 29, anti pollution vessels were still near DUBLIN EXPRESS.
