German freighter under tow after 3-day drift in Celtic sea

Nov 23 alert: BF TIMARU, IMO 9346421, Celtic sea west of isles of Scilly, from S-Petersburg to New Orleans ETA Dec 7.
Nov 24 UPDATE: After being for some time adrift, the ship turned back and as of 0150 UTC Nov 24, is under way at reduced speed of some 4-6 knots, heading due east, destination unknown, cause of interrupting voyage unknown. Nov 25: Port of destination changed, now it’s Falmouth ETA Nov 25, adrift as of 0000 UTC Nov 25.
Nov 26 UPDATE: Report emerged that the ship suffered engine failure, tug ALP DEFENDER (IMO: 9737242) was contracted for towage. Towage understood to commence same day, ETA Falmouth uncertain, considering unfavorable weather. BF TIMARU is loaded with metal products.
