Russian ro-ro ship intercepted, detained in English Channel by France

Russian ro-ro ship BALTIC LEADER was intercepted by French Gendarmerie and Navy patrol boats in English Channel early Feb 26, and escorted to Boulogne-Sur-Mer, France, for inspection and investigation. The ship with cargo of cars is en route from Rouen France (left Rouen in the morning Feb 25) to St-Petersburg. Understood ship’s owner or manager company is under EU sanctions, that’s the reason for detention.
