Japanese Navy ships collision, Yokosuka

Jane reported collision involving two Japanese Self-Defence Forces Naval ships, destroyer JS JINTSŪ and mine countermeasures ship JS URAGA, which took place on May 22 in or near Yokosuka Naval Base. Destroyer struck berthed mine countermeasures ship while maneuvering out of base. Both ships sustained damages. JS JINTSŪ suffered damaged bow, JS URAGA has been struck stb amidships, probably breached. JS JINTSŪ sailed to Sasebo, Kyushu Island, JS URAGA remained at Yokosuka.
