Russian freighter struck tanker. CORRECTION

Aug 20 CORRECTION: MB was called by Russian Master of the ship in question, he’s dumbfounded, and he didn’t know Korean sources issued such a report. His ship wasn’t involved in this accident, it was another ship of similar size berthed next to her stern. The police and authorities who arrived on the scene couldn’t board wanted ship and had to disembark via his ship. He can’t identify the ship which contacted tanker, it was night, it was dark and he and the crew didn’t know anything happened until the fuss started. The ship which contacted tanker, was repositioned. So according to Russian Master report, his ship has nothing to do with the accident, and he for good measure, couldn’t be positively tested for alcohol because he is a teetotaler, for many years already.
Understood Korean sources and media mistook the ships, because it was night time and the ships were of similar size and type.

Russian general cargo ship EVOLUTION 8 struck berthed chemical tanker GOLDEN CREATION at around 2000 Seoul time Aug 18 at Gamcheon, Busan, Korea, while shifting berths. Both ships were damaged in stern area. Russian Captain of EVOLUTION 8 was tested and found to be intoxicated. As of Aug 19, both ships remained berthed at Gamcheon harbor.
